About this Business
My wife and I started this business with the goal of building something of our own and creating long-term financial independence. We were drawn to the simplicity of the model, the creativity involved in the work, and the opportunity to help homeowners improve their everyday living spaces.
Over time, we’ve gained firsthand experience operating the business day-to-day—working with customers, managing projects, and learning what it takes to deliver a quality product and service. The business is up and running, with systems in place and real-world insight into what drives success in this market.
However, as time has gone on, we’ve realized that our personal strengths and interests are not fully aligned with what it takes to grow and scale this type of business. My wife is no longer involved, and I’ve found that entrepreneurship—particularly in a hands-on, sales-driven role—is not the best fit for me long term.
This creates a great opportunity for a new owner who is motivated, enjoys working directly with customers, and is excited to build on an established foundation. With the right energy and focus, there is clear potential to grow revenue and expand the customer base.
We are looking for the right buyer to take over and continue building what we started.
Owner's Day-to-Day Involvement
The owner is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the business, including conducting in-home consultations. This role also involves coordinating installations and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the process. In addition, the owner recruits, trains, and supports team members or contractors involved in sales or installation work. Building and maintaining a reliable team is key to delivering consistent service and enabling growth. The owner also plays an a

Reason for Selling
The business is being offered for sale because it is not the right long-term fit for me as an owner. While I was excited about the opportunity initially, I’ve found that my strengths and interests are not fully aligned with the hands-on, sales-driven nature required to grow the business successfully. Additionally, my original plan to operate the business alongside my wife did not materialize, and I have been running it on my own. As a result, I have not been able to dedicate the level of time, f
Why I Love My Franchise
I’ve truly enjoyed being part of this franchise and what it represents. The brand is strong, and the business focuses on delivering best-in-class service and practical solutions that directly address everyday frustrations homeowners face. It’s rewarding to provide a product that makes a noticeable difference in how people use and enjoy their spaces. There is also significant growth potential in the market, as more homeowners are looking for ways to improve organization and functionality in their
About Art of Drawers
Art of Drawers is a custom home storage franchise that designs and installs solid wood drawers, glide-out shelving, and cabinet and pantry solutions that retrofit into a homeowner’s existing cabinetry without a full remodel. The brand serves residential homeowners looking to improve access, organization, and space in kitchens, pantries, closets, and other rooms.
The business runs on a territory model built around an in-home consultative sale. Owners lead a local team of certified designers and installers rather than working hands-on, supported by a central inbound and outbound sales center that books design appointments. Founded in 2019 and franchising since 2023, Art of Drawers is an emerging system of around 45 territories, headquartered in Marietta, Georgia. It is founder-led by Allan Young, who previously built a glide-out shelving business to more than 160 locations across the US and Canada.
Products are made in the USA, using solid wood with precision dovetail construction and soft-close undermount rails. This premium, design-led positioning sets the brand apart from volume-led organizer and big-box cabinet competitors.

Franchisee Support
Art of Drawers supports franchisees with initial and ongoing training covering its design process, products, installation standards, and team-building. Ongoing support includes proprietary design software, a central inbound and outbound sales support center that schedules design appointments, marketing and operations guidance, and established US wood-manufacturer supply relationships. Buyers of an existing unit should confirm with the franchisor what onboarding and design-software access transfer at resale, and the certification status of the existing design and install team.
Brand Accolades & Awards
Art of Drawers was named to Franchise Business Review's Top 200 Franchises for 2026, a ranking based on independent franchisee satisfaction surveys, a notable signal for an emerging system that only began franchising in 2023. The brand has also built its reputation on a made-in-USA, design-led product, certified designers, and a strong base of positive customer reviews for its custom storage installations. For resale buyers, brand-level recognition should be weighed alongside the specific territory's local reputation, online reviews, and referral relationships.
Industry / Market
Art of Drawers operates in the US home organization products market, valued at roughly $14 billion (Freedonia Group), with steady growth as homeowners prioritize storage, accessibility, and decluttering. Demand is supported by an aging housing stock, a long renovation cycle, and a preference for improving existing homes over moving amid higher mortgage rates. Retrofit storage upgrades that avoid a full remodel fit this value-conscious but design-aware buyer. For resale buyers, local demand depends on housing density, household incomes, and remodeling activity within the specific territory.
Ideal Owner
Art of Drawers suits a team-builder and local leader rather than a hands-on craftsperson. The franchisor frames the owner as head coach, recruiter, and trainer who spends most of the day developing a design team and a local marketing team and building referral partnerships at home shows and community events. No prior sales or construction experience is required, but recruiting, coaching, and accountability skills matter, along with comfort selling a premium, design-led product and managing the customer experience to a high standard.
